Day 1 Activity 1

Ten foods I would take on an
                                             ocean voyage are...
1. Water , I will need lots of water to survive. Drinking ocean water won't be safe.

2. A pack of chips , I don't need a freezer or fridge for a pack of chips I will keep them in a dry place though.

3. Biscuits , I like biscuits and they don't need a cool storage place.

4. Sultana Bran , I can't bring milk for my choice of cereal but if I got a big box I could have some at times as a snack and it will help keep my gut fibre fit.

5. Buns and Sausages , I could bring a cooktop and make some hot dogs. That will fuel me up.

6. Scroggin , This is a bit of a energy food of different nuts and stuff like that.

7. Raro , I could make a nice drink with it and the water just for some sweet food.

8. Gum , My mouth might smell bad, Just to keep it nice and fresh.

9. Nacho dip, The chips I will bring is corn chips so I will bring a dip for it.

10. Already made camping meals, I need to eat some actual meals , so I could cook already made meals on my cooktop.

  1. Kia Ora Joe,

My name is Charlotte from the Summer Learning Journey Program, I am delighted to see that you have been participating in SLJ this summer!

I enjoyed reading the list of 10 foods you would take along on a sea voyage with you and I can tell that you thought carefully about what to bring!

I like how you included scroggin on your list - what a good idea! I agree, scroggin is a great food to eat when you need more energy, and it is also very yummy! What is your favourite thing to eat in scroggin? Personally, I like the little chocolate pieces!

I noticed that you said you would bring pre-made camping meals, what a cool idea! What meals would you bring along? I would bring Spaghetti Bolognese because that is my favourite meal to eat for dinner!
