  1. Kia ora Joe,

It’s Shannon again from the Summer Learning Journey.

What an amazing Christmas song! I’m so impressed by how you’ve incorporated so many different aspects of Christmas into the chorus! I love that you included things such as pohutukawa trees, barbeques, and spending time with the whanau. Those are some of the best bits of Christmas. Did you have a good Christmas this year?

What inspired your lyrics? Did you write it all yourself?

Have you considered using screencastify to record yourself singing your version of Jingle Bells for extra points?

    Ka kite anō,
    Shannon (SLJ)

  2. Hi Shannon , I did have a good christmas this year. What about you? , What I got inspired was from what I enjoy doing on a christmas day. I got a bit of an idea from that song but most of it I thought of myself.

    1. Hi Joe,

My Christmas was lots of fun! We had a big family gathering and ate lots of food! What did you do?

I'm super impressed you thought of most of it yourself!

Have you ever written a song before this?

    2. Hey Shannon,
We had a great time on christmas opening presents and then spent time with the family and had a big dinner. I only did one once before during another activity.
Have you ever written a song? Whats it about?

    3. Hi Joe,

I've never written a song! Well not formally! I sing lots of songs to myself, usually just narrating what I am doing at that time. Like I'll sing in the kitchen while making a sandwich. Do you sing often?

      Bye for now,
      Shannon (SLJ)
