Te Huarere Thursday 24th December Summer Learning Journey

Today I learnt how to ask someone about the weather in Maori.

Here is a recording of me saying the weather.

  1. Kia ora Joe,

It’s Shannon from the Summer Learning Journey.

Ka pai on your Te Huarere slide show. I am just learning te reo too, so I found your blog post very helpful. Thank you!

I am on holiday with my family so I asked my mum, “He aha te tohu huarere?” using your blog post as a guide. She replied, “He rangi paki.” It looks like we might be going for a swim! What have been you doing over your summer break?

Maybe you could practice saying your sentence and screen castify it to get more points?

    Ka kite anō,
    Shannon (SLJ)

  2. Kia Ora Shannon
I have done absolutely nothing so far in the holidays. I will be going on a cricket tournament though! I shall give a go saying it.

You could tell this to someone that does not know what it is and then teach him?

    1. Hi Joe,

I absolutely did! I showed my little sister who was very impressed! Did you teach anyone?

How did your cricket tournament go?

      Bye for now,
      Shannon (SLJ)
