Kia Ora all,
Today I made my own UV indicator after learning a little bit about. The UV indicator helps you indicate when it is best to go outside depending on how hot it is to more protection you will need. I would put it up on a wall in the main area of the house. Here is a picture.
Ni Hao Joe,
ReplyDeleteVery nice UV Indicator, very clear and easy to read and understand.
You did a good job on explaining and made it very specific like how you said you can go out whenever or you have to stay inside, that would be very helpful. Maybe you could create a poster and reuse something to make an arrow to point what level it would be each day.
What did you find tricky in this activity?
Ma Te Wa,

ReplyDeleteThank for your feedback. I will see if I can. I found the colours tricky because some were really dark and did not look good and stuff. What has been the trickiest activity for you?

Kia Ora Joe,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.
This activity is awesome as it spreads awareness of how bad UV rays can be and how important it is to keep sun safe and sun smart by wearing sunscreen, wearing your hat and keeping in the shade.
Your UV indicator looks awesome, it is clear to read and understand with the color coding, numbers and symbols and adding a slidable arrow could be a great touch so it is changeable depending on weather, good job.
Did you have a look at the step it up activity, you can design a wearable UV device with a Kiwiana theme like a sort of sunblock reapply reminder or a UV detecting hat. It would be great to see you have a go at designing your own.
Happy Holidays, Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.
Ngā mihi nui,

Hello Zana,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback , I will give it a try making a kiwiana themed indicator. I don't think it can be that hard.
Happy Holidays
